Do I need an account? Where does my data go?

No account, no sign-up. Everything you log stays on your phone: no cloud, no tracking, no confirmation email to deal with while your rice gets cold.

Is *maki free?

Yes: free, no ads, no subscriptions. It's open source too: the code is on GitHub, if you want to poke around or contribute.

How do I install it on iPhone and Android?

You can use it straight from the browser, or install it to keep it handy. *maki is an installable web app (PWA): on iPhone, open the site in Safari and tap “Add to Home Screen”; on Android, use “Install app” in Chrome. No app store, no 200 MB download, and once installed it opens like any other app.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once installed, *maki works offline too: perfect for those restaurants where the Wi-Fi is as legendary as real wasabi.

Does it work for any restaurant?

Yes: every place keeps its own menu and its own memory. Sushi, ramen, any all-you-can-eat… wherever you need to remember what you ordered.
